Ken R Pence is a retired Metro Nashville Police officer (31 years - 16 of those years on SWAT). He has a Ph.D. in Engineering from Vanderbilt University where he taught part-time in Engineering at Vanderbilt '00-'04 and full-time 2004-2022. He researched cybersecurity, DARPA, and magnetic levitation. He has taught police and military in close-in confrontations in N. Ireland, England, France, & Germany). He lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
