Josh moved around a lot as a kid, and as a result, became a fixture at the closest local library. There, he studied under fantasy's greatest authors and became obsessed with the hero's journey.  This probably has something to do with his career background as an EMT/Firefighter in ATL GA. He only recently left to pursue full-time writing among a few other dubious professions.
