Timothy James Brearton earned a certificate in filmmaking from the New York Film Academy and spent several years working in movies and television before writing screenplays turned into writing books. He's since written more than twenty novels, and his work has been translated for a global readership. "Her Perfect Secret" won the Next Generation Independent Book Award for Best Suspense in 2021. He lives in the Adirondack Mountains of New York with his wife and three children.
