Jaz Laverick was born and raised on Vancouver Island in a small town called Shirley. She grew up surrounded by temperate rainforests, lakes, mountains and an endless ocean off the horizon. Her passion for reading cosy fantasy started in middle school with series by Diana Wynne Jones and Patricia C. Wrede. By the time she graduated highschool she had written 9 epic fantasy books about space elves that shall never see the light of day. She has been reading lightnovels and litrpg for almost a decade, and finally decided to try her hand at one in the spring of 2023.
