Although Chris considers the south coast of Massachusetts home base, he spent his formative years as the consummate “army brat.” Following his own 21-year career as a U.S. Army pilot, he ultimately lived in 12 different states, 3 countries, and has traveled to many, many more. Although he studied German and Spanish, he mostly credits his itinerant lifestyle for surrounding him with different cultures, races, and languages that nurtured his ability to easily adapt to accents and dialects. His military background and facility with accents bolster his desire to foster natural and diverse characters in military sci-fi, space operas, thrillers, and mysteries. With a B.S. in Aeronautics and an M.A. in teaching Chris is just as well-suited to non-fiction and historical material. Fun facts: Chris has a passion for all things Prince (the musician), Star Trek, Track & Field (has been to 2 Summer Olympics), and can't read quietly to himself without falling asleep!
