Two worlds, two species, one conflict...and one hope.
The Earth is dying. For centuries, the continents have been sinking into the oceans. What is left of them has turned into a burning desert. In the 24th century, the last humans live in tightly-packed domes. Outside, agonizing heat death awaits. But, there is a glimmer of hope: Lumera. The humans have founded a colony in another solar system and made a fragile peace with the Kidj'Dan, an alien race living there. But terraforming, which the telepathic aliens hope will help Earth's inhabitants, takes more time than Earth has. A wave of refugees breaks out on Earth: millions flock to the space portal that connects Earth with the new world. But the Kidj'Dan want to prevent any uncontrolled influx to Lumera by force of arms. A humanitarian catastrophe threatens the survival of both races. The new president of the Lumera colony is stretched to his breaking point because he must mediate between Earth and the Kidj'Dan. The work of a geoscientist gives him hope: an uninhabited continent on Lumera could be populated with inhabitants of Earth. But who should explore it? Only those who have made many sacrifices for the Lumera expedition and are scarred by it can be considered. The situation is hopeless. Project Eden is the last chance for both worlds. The Lumera Expedition series continues humanity's struggle for survival in her own distinctive way: visionary, profound, and, above all, extremely exciting.
